I had the great pleasure of participating in last year's fair (see post here) and am so happy and honored to be invited back for this year's event.
From fair organizer Mike Vance:
Reading Room - Ideson Building - Houston Public Library |
Parking can be found on the street in metered spaces or in the garage immediately across Lamar Street from the south entrance to the Ideson Building. The cost of garage parking is only $5 on Saturdays.
The Houston History Book Fair & Symposium is the largest free history event in Houston each year, and it’s presented by Houston Arts and Media, the Houston Public Library’s Houston Metropolitan Research Center and Story Sloane’s Gallery. Our generous sponsors this year include Adept Word Management, the UH Hobby Center for Public Policy, Mélange Events and Renee Cross.
There will be a different speaker in the upstairs reading room every half hour including two new books pertaining to the JFK assassination which happened 50 years ago this month.
More information about the event and the schedule of speakers and authors may be found at the Houston Arts and Media website here
Please make plans to join us for this fun, free event and celebrate Houston and Texas history.
