Museum of the American GI - College Station, TX - Open House 2013/2014

Last year I had the great pleasure of going with my oldest son to the 2013 Open House and World War II Reenactment at the Museum of the American GI in College Station, Texas, an easy drive from where we live north of Houston...and well worth it!

The 2014 event is coming soon - March 21-22, 2014 - and I encourage you to attend if you are in the area.

I've never been to a WWII living history event before then, but it was great fun: lots of men and women in period uniforms, displays, and lots and lots of vehicles!  But the great thing is that these were not static displays...these vehicles - especially restored tanks and more - MOVE and FIRE! The day ended with a reenactment involving infantry, artillery, and armor.

You canlearn more about the great work being done at the Museum here.

Below are some short (2-3 minute) videos of photos/video I took at last year's event...Enjoy!
